Pakistan's disgrace

I'm on the road so haven't had time to dive too deeply into this heinous act surfaced by Nicholas Kristof in the Times, but I trust what Tom Watson has to say on the issue:

The story of Mukhtaran Bibi and the behavior of our so-called "ally" in Pakistan demands outrage - I think blogs can bring this to the attention of many in the media and government. It's happening already in the UK, thanks to some folks in Oxford I've been in contact with. Ms. Bibi is someone who I've given a little money to - to help with her school - and her kidnapping by the President of Pakistan is an outrage. Freedom indeed.

In any case, that's my plea and I'm sticking to it.
