Webby award nominees have Web 2.0 flavor
San Jose Mercury News: Webby awards nominees reflect `Web 2.0' advent.
Hundreds of Web sites, blogs, podcasts and Internet services were announced as nominees recently for the 10th annual Webby awards. ...NPR received six nominations, more than any organization. The growing role of online video was evident in nominations of Rocketboom, Amanda Congdon's www.amandacongdon.com daily video news blog, and FabChannel, a Dutch site that Webcasts live concerts.
Nominees for best practices emphasized the ``Web 2.0'' influence, with nods to Bloglines, Flickr, Google Maps, Technorati and Writely.com. Awards will be announced May 9.
Online voting for the Verizon-sponsored People's Voice is open now at http://peoplesvoice.webbyawards.com.
