I met Padmasree Warrior, CTO of Motorola, at the Aspen Institute in August, where she had a number of insightful things to say about the Mobile Generation -- the title of a report that I wrote and that Aspen will be publishing next month. A couple of publications have speculated that Padmasree could be in line for the CEO spot at Motorola when it next opens up. She passes along word today that her blog, Bits at the Edge, was just opened to the public.

Yahoo is quietly launching an experimental site, called Mixd, that allows mobile-phone users to send text messages and share videos and pictures with friends. Yahoo plans to market Mixd on U.S. college campuses. News Corp.'s MySpace is developing mobile services for its users.
